Once, there was a monkey living in an apple tree with delicious red and juicy apples. One day, a crocodile asked the monkey for some apples, and the monkey happily shared. The crocodile took some apples home to his wife, who then wanted to taste the monkey’s heart. She insisted that her husband bring the monkey’s heart or she would die.
The crocodile, feeling torn, agreed to his wife’s request. The next day, he invited the monkey to his home, and they set off together. However, in the middle of the water, the crocodile revealed his plan to take the monkey’s heart. Quick-thinking, the monkey told the crocodile that he left his heart on the tree and needed to go back to get it.
Believing the monkey, the foolish crocodile took him back to the shore. The monkey then called the crocodile the biggest fool for trusting him and making a mistake.
Moral: Be careful who you trust as a friend, as someone you think is your friend might turn out to be your enemy.
