Sophia Bush has embarked on a new romantic journey amidst her ongoing divorce from her estranged spouse, Grant Hughes.
The former “One Tree Hill” actress is now in a relationship with former USWNT soccer player Ashlyn Harris, who is also going through a separation from her estranged wife, Ali Krieger. This update has been reported by various sources.
This news comes approximately two months after reports first surfaced about Bush, aged 41, filing for divorce from Hughes, aged 42, officially ending their 13-month-long marriage.
In his response, Hughes, aged 42, stated June 27 as the date of their separation and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their split, as outlined in the documents obtained by E! News. Furthermore, he requested that the court refrain from awarding spousal support to either party and that they individually cover their own attorney’s fees.
In September, Harris, aged 37, submitted her own divorce documents to terminate her marriage to fellow soccer star Krieger, aged 39, with whom she shares a daughter named Sloane (2 years old) and a son named Ocean (14 months). This filing came nearly four years after their star-studded wedding ceremony in Miami.
In recent months, Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris have crossed paths on multiple occasions. They both participated in a panel discussion alongside beverage executive Sophie Ann Kelly at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in June, with Bush sharing a photo of the event on her Instagram with the caption, “Love you @ashlynharris24 and @sophieannkelly.”
They were also present at a Peacock watch party for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in July and attended the Kallmeyer’s New York Fashion Week show in September.
Most recently, the actress and the athlete were seen hanging out together in photos posted on Instagram by Canadian soccer player Selenia Iacchelli. In the pictures shared on October 10, Bush and Harris were all smiles as they enjoyed the company of Angel City FC’s Merritt Mathias and Kari Fleischauer.
