Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • Milk (as needed to knead the dough)
  • Oil or ghee (for deep frying)

For Sugar Syrup:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • A few strands of saffron (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions:

  1. Mix milk powder, all-purpose flour, ghee, and baking soda.
  2. Gradually add milk to form a soft, smooth dough.
  3. Make small balls from the dough.
  4. Heat oil or ghee and fry the balls until golden brown.
  5. In a separate pan, make sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in water and adding saffron and cardamom powder.
  6. Soak the fried balls in the sugar syrup for a few hours before serving.

2. Besan Ladoo:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups besan (gram flour)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts for garnish

  • 1 cup cashew powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon ghee

Instructions:

  2. In a pan, dissolve sugar in water and bring it to a boil to make a syrup.
  3. Add cashew powder and ghee to the syrup and stir continuously to avoid lumps.

  6. Cut into diamond-shaped pieces and, if desired, garnish with silver leaf.

4. Rava Kesari:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semolina (rava)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • A few saffron strands
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • Chopped nuts for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Roast semolina in ghee until it turns golden brown.
  2. In a separate pan, heat water, add saffron strands, and bring it to a boil.
  3. Slowly add the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add sugar and continue stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Garnish with chopped nuts.
