The release of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Dunki is likely to be postponed to avoid a box office clash with Prabhas’ Salaar. Shah Rukh Khan had previously announced that Dunki would be released around Christmas or New Year. However, with Salaar – Part 1: Ceasefire also scheduled for a December release, reports suggest that Dunki may be postponed.
Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan posted on X that there is buzz about Dunki being postponed to ensure that Prabhas’ Salaar gets a solo release. Additionally, the film news page Lets Cinema reported that Dunki might be delayed from its December 22 release date due to post-production issues, but an official confirmation is awaited.

The makers of Salaar had previously announced its release date as December 22. The film is an action thriller starring Prabhas.
At a recent success event for Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan confirmed the release date of Dunki, saying it would be released around New Year and Christmas. Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, also stars Taapsee Pannu in a lead role.
The decision to potentially postpone Dunki is likely an attempt to avoid a clash at the box office and ensure both films get a good opportunity for a successful run.
