Rajinikanth Retirement Rumors |
Audiences are eagerly anticipating the release of “Leo,” a project from the collaborative duo of director Lokesh Kanagaraj and the charismatic Thalapathy Vijay. After this much-anticipated venture, Lokesh’s sights are set on “Thalaivar 171,” a project recently announced. In a recent interview, Lokesh provided clarification that “Thalaivar 171” will not be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
In the past few days, speculations had been running rampant on social media, suggesting that Rajinikanth might retire from acting following “Thalaivar 171.” However, Lokesh’s recent interview has alleviated the concerns of Superstar fans. During the interview, Lokesh was asked, “There are rumors that Rajini sir approached you for the film. Is it true?” The young filmmaker promptly clarified that he was the one who had approached Rajinikanth with the script, and not the other way around.
Lokesh recounted, “It all came together quite unexpectedly. I had shared the story with Anirudh a while back. During the initial schedule of ‘Leo,’ Anirudh suggested that I should narrate it to Rajini sir. Although I was initially unsure, Anirudh encouraged me to give it a try. The very next day, we visited Rajini sir’s residence and presented the plot to him, which he greatly appreciated.”
