Kajal Agarwal made her acting debut in the 2004 bollywood movie Kyun! Ho Gaya Na… in a small supporting role. However, it was her first Telugu film, Lakshmi Kalyanam, released in 2007, that brought her to prominence.

Her breakthrough came in 2009 with the Telugu film Magadheera, which was the biggest blockbuster of all time in Telugu cinema at the time. She played the dual roles of Yuvarani Mitravinda Devi and Indira (Indu). Her performance in the film was widely praised and earned her numerous awards.
