Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones have been unveiled in the Indian market. These smartphones were launched by Google during its 2023 hardware event held on Wednesday. They are powered by the Tensor G3 chip and come with 256GB of internal storage.
Running on Android 14 out of the box, these phones also support Google AI features like Photo Blur and Live Translate, which have been introduced by Google over the past few years. The phones are known for their camera capabilities, powered by AI technology, and are available in different color options like Hazeal, Obsidian, and Rose.
They are prominently featured on the leading e-commerce platform, Flipkart, and pre-orders for the smartphones started on October 4th.
As for pricing, the Google Pixel 8 is priced at INR 75,999 for the 128GB storage model, while the Pixel 8 Pro with 128GB storage is priced at INR 1,06,999. Additionally, the Pixel 8 is available in Blended Indigo and Absidian colors, while the Pixel 8 Pro comes in Blended and Absidian colors.
Google has also introduced limited-time offers for these phones. Customers who choose to purchase the Pixel 8 can get up to INR 8,000 off when exchanging their old smartphones and an additional INR 3,000 off as part of the exchange offer.
Similarly, buyers of the Pixel 8 Pro can avail of discounts up to INR 9,000 for exchanging their old devices and up to INR 4,000 off through the exchange offer. Additionally, Google has made the Pixel Watch 2 available for purchase in India, starting from October 12, with a price tag of INR 39,900.
Both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro boast impressive specifications, featuring OLED screens with high refresh rates, Tensor G3 chipsets, and ample RAM capacity. They also excel in photography, offering multiple camera sensors and AI-powered features. Moreover, they come equipped with various sensors and biometric authentication options, including fingerprint scanners.
The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro support fast wired charging with 27W and 30W capabilities, respectively, and are equipped with substantial battery capacities of 4,575mAh and 5,050mAh. Google claims that these smartphones also support wireless charging. The Pixel 8 Pro features rapid charging, capable of going from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes or fully charging in 100 minutes.
These new Pixel smartphones are set to compete in the Indian market, offering a combination of powerful hardware and AI-driven software features.
