The Threads app is now available to users. Threads allow users to post content up to 500 characters. Users can include links, photos or videos up to 5 minutes long.
The app is connected to your Instagram account, and according to Meta, users can effortlessly share a Threads post to their Instagram Story or share their post as a link on any other platform of their choice.
The app can be downloaded for free from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Once you have installed the app, using it is relatively easy, especially if you are already familiar with Instagram and Twitter.
Simply login with your Instagram credentials and you will see the option to follow people from Instagram on Threads. Once you have created an account, you will be asked to keep it private and public.
On the app's feed, you will find content from people you follow on Instagram, as well as content from users who specifically use the Threads app. Just like Twitter, you can block specific words in the settings and decide who can mention you.

Any users blocked on your Instagram app will also be blocked on Threads.
