Set to hit Indian screens on October 19, the film is all set to have its premiere in the United States of America on October 18, significantly outpacing Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ in terms of screen count.
‘Jawan,’ the highest-grossing Hindi film to date, with a box office collection exceeding Rs 630 crore, managed 1600 showings on its opening day. In contrast, Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’ secured an impressive 1755 screens, surpassing SRK’s offering by 155 screens, and has already amassed nearly $1.3 million. It is anticipated to reach at least $1.6 million by the time the screenings commence. The film primarily targets the Telugu and Tamil-speaking audiences, with a limited release in Hindi. Among the three languages, Telugu leads in terms of business and is expected to achieve a $300,000 milestone in the USA.
The film is being showcased in a range of formats, including 2D, XD, IMAX, and the recent RPX, providing audiences with a dynamic cinematic experience. In India, it has undergone 13 censor cuts, with the filmmakers fully compliant with the board’s directives.
