The exceptionally talented and versatile actress Radhika Madan is on the brink of making history as the first Indian actress to serve on the prestigious Tallinn Film Festival jury.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that just last year, Radhika Madan attended the festival as an actress promoting her film “Sanaa,” which was showcased during the 26th edition of the Black Nights Film Festival.
This time, she returns not as an actress promoting her own work but as a respected jury member, offering her valuable insights and expertise in the evaluation and celebration of outstanding films from around the world.
The Black Nights Film Festival is an annual cinematic extravaganza held in the enchanting city of Tallinn, Estonia, towards the end of November.
It holds a distinguished status as the only FIAPF-accredited competitive feature film festival in Northern Europe. The 27th edition of the Black Nights Film Festival is scheduled to take place from November 3rd to 18th, 2023, and has already generated anticipation and excitement within the global film community.
Radhika Madan will be part of a prestigious panel of jury members, including the Head of the Jury, Nicolas Celis Lopez from Mexico, as well as Ron Fogel from Israel, Diana Ilijane from Germany, and Ran Huang from China.
She expresses her gratitude by saying, “I’m deeply honored to be a part of this diverse and talented jury at the Tallinn Film Festival. It’s a worldwide celebration of cinema, and I’m eager to contribute my perspective to this exceptional group of judges.”

Her upcoming endeavors include the remake of the critically acclaimed “Soorarai Pottru,” which is already creating buzz as a potential Oscar contender, featuring none other than Akshay Kumar.
Additionally, she is working on “Rumi Ki Sharafat,” directed by the well-known ad filmmaker Prashant Bhagya, and “Sanaa,” which has already made appearances at numerous International Film Festivals.
