Ingredients:

1 cup green peas (matar), fresh or frozen
200 grams paneer, cut into cubes
2 tablespoons oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped

1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. If using frozen peas, thaw them completely.
2. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
4. Add the tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy, about 5 minutes.
5. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and garam masala powder. Cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
6. Add the green peas and paneer cubes. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the paneer is heated through.
7. Add salt to taste.
8. Stir in the chopped cilantro.
9. Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.

Tips:

For a richer flavor, you can use heavy cream instead of water.
If you like your Matar Paneer spicy, you can add more red chili powder.
