Director Nitish Tiwari to Unveil Epic Three-Part Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor as Rama

The Ramayana is a captivating visual poem that leaves viewers wanting to experience it repeatedly. Over the years, numerous movies and television series have narrated this epic tale. Yet, the demand for new adaptations remains strong, transcending generations. Recently, a film called “Adipurush” used motion capture technology to bring the story to life. Some criticized it, suggesting that it showcased the ideal way to present the Ramayana. This critique prompted the film team to remain quiet. After the outcome of “Adipurush,” many believed it would be years before another Ramayana-based film would emerge. However, director Nitish Tiwari, known for “Dangal,” is set to retell this epic on the big screen.

Nitish is preparing to depict Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, and the inside scoop indicates that Sai Pallavi was initially considered for the role of Sita. There were earlier reports that Yash, known for his role as Rocky Bhai, had declined the part of Ravanasura, and Alia Bhatt was to be the leading lady. However, these reports were refuted by the Hindi media. This ambitious project is slated to be a three-part film, boasting the largest budget in Indian cinema history.

Currently, the pre-production work is progressing rapidly, with plans to commence filming in the next two months. The first part will establish the relationship between Rama and Sita, with the climax featuring Ravana, the ruler of Lanka. In the second part, the storyline will encompass Sita’s abduction, the epic battle between Rama and Ravana, and Finally, in the third part, the birth of Lava and Kusha. the entire narrative of the Ramayana will be presented in three parts. Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena are set to produce this monumental project on an unprecedented scale.
